Topaz
Many people believe that amber and topaz are just a pair of beautiful gems. However, to Branko Palikuca, these two gems are the attainment of a long held vision and dream. Serbian natives, Branko Palikuca and business partner Walter Veselinovic first opened their premier gemstone, Amber Café, in downtown Westmont in July of 2004. Palikuca was prepared to bring his sophisticated city background to the suburbs by using all the fine-dining knowledge he had obtained while working for several years at Chicago’s high-profiled University Club. Amber pairs a warm and welcoming ambiance with both impeccable service and fresh, seasonal, contemporary American cuisine.
After four years of growth and success, Amber’s talented team decided to create a new concept: Topaz. Topaz opened in April, 2008 and remains the baby of the gemstone saga. Topaz stands twice as large as its sister restaurant and also features two large private dining rooms which serve as the perfect place to host holiday parties or company events. With the addition of Executive Chef Ryan Wombacher, Topaz embodies an urban-chic hot new dining spot that is conveniently located closer to home. Topaz features unique, fresh, innovative flavors that can be enjoyed while dining in beautiful and charming setting.
